Smith, Born, Leventis, Taylor & Vega, LLC is proud to announce the addition of a new partner, James D. George, Jr. (Jamie). He has been an integral part of the SBLTV team since it was founded.
Jamie joined the firm after graduating from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He focuses his practice on personal injury litigation, including motor vehicle accidents, commercial motor vehicle accidents, product liability claims, and third-party workers’ compensation cases. He is admitted to practice in South Carolina, the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
In addition to his legal practice, Jamie serves as an adjunct professor at Presbyterian College, where he teaches a course surveying South Carolina law.
Throughout his academic and professional career, Jamie has earned numerous honors and recognitions, including the 2017 Irving Steinberg Memorial Award for Workers’ Compensation and multiple CALI Awards in South Carolina Workers’ Compensation, Products Liability, Advanced Civil Procedure, Civil Litigation Capstone, and Legal Writing for the Courts.
Jamie is an active member of the American Association for Justice, the South Carolina Association for Justice, and the South Carolina Bar Association.
